Suffering Well (Revelation 2:8-11)

"Hey you are going to suffer because of your faith in Jesus" is not the most attractive message for those who are not part of the church and can be a bitter pill to swallow for those of us inside the church. But I am going to be honest with you, when you choose to follow Jesus you will experience suffering for that choice. Apart from the general suffering that everyone experiences. Your faith is going to cause you to make choices that other won’t like and will want to hurt you for. Your faith is going to cause you to be belittled, made fun of, even marginalized from your peers. Your faith is going to be challenged every step of the way by those that do not understand it. This life can be full of suffering and it can be so hard when in the midst of it to be hopeful.
