The Mercy of Wrath (3:1-10)
As a kid, one of the ways we grow up is trying new things. We try new steps as we learn to walk, try new food as we learn to expand our pallet, we interact with new people as we expand our social skills, and try new sports as we explore our passions, athletic ability and team building. But every once in a while we’re unwilling to try new things because we’re scared. And it’s a parents job to encourage them to keep taking risks if the risk is worth it. To help a child change their mindset, their heart desires, and their behavior because it’s worth it. But when we no longer have parents in our lives, and we make our own decisions, are we still finding ourselves taking risks that are worth taking? If we stay in our comfort zones, what do we miss out on, especially when no one is challenging us anymore? The stakes are high because there is so much life on the other side of Godly risk. It’ll require a change of mind and heart in order to jump in.
